Belgian ensemble for new music.
SPECTRA, curious for new music. From 1993 onwards the ensemble developed a remarkable musical coherence and a unique, refined sound starting from a fixed nucleus. Conductor Filip Rathé and violinist Pieter Jansen are artistic co-directors.
The ensemble promotes new music from Flanders internationally. SPECTRA creates many commissioned works in constant dialogue with reference works in a wide range of presentation formats such as concerts, happenings, music theatre, and multimedia events.
